Real talk, can we still put Lundqvist’s name on the Cup??

tuuukka:

i think what really broke my heart was that close up of hank saying something along the lines of “i’m sorry, i tried so hard” while the kings celebrated behind him. i literally felt my heart shatter.

IDC ABOUT EITHER TEAM BUT KNOWING THAT CHRIS KREIDER IS UNHAPPY MAKES ME SO HAPPY

How fitting is it that the rangers’ season ended on a blown call haaaahhahaahahahafml

Wow. What a year. This season definitely had it’s up and downs, but in typical Rangers fashion, they managed to find a way to succeed. Back in October, a trip to the Stanley Cup Finals seemed like a distant dream, but is now a reality. It appears that the Rangers have mastered the skill of winning under pressure. Nothing ever really comes easy for the Rangers. Playoff series are rarely completed in less than 7 games. Games constantly go to overtime. The amount of stress this team causes me is limitless. Yet, I always proudly don my Lundqvist jersey and anxiously sit on the couch, waiting for the game to start. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

They dealt with the appointment of a new coach and the trade of their captain, overcame adversity, and persevered through personal tragedy. Watching the Rangers inspired and uplifted me through my own difficulties. After the Rangers won Game 6 versus the Penguins, St. Louis awarded the Broadway Hat to the entire team for their support during such an emotional time. He proclaimed: “I couldn’t be prouder to be a fucking New York Ranger with you guys.” It’s this remarkable team unity that helped propel them so far into the playoffs. It’s seeing the faith that they have in one another. It’s going into Game 7 against the Penguins and thinking “wow, they have a strong chance of winning this.” It’s watching the unbridled ecstasy on Hank’s face after they beat the Canadiens. It’s knowing that they’ve beat the odds and have made it this far. I couldn’t be prouder to be a fucking New York Ranger fan.

we should have known a blown call would fuck the rangers over in the end

I am so heartbroken, but I couldn’t be more proud of my boys. They played their hearts out and I’m glad to call them my team!
